How to fight scorpionmen by Flash

Scorpion men get 2 attacks and a parry, normal 2-armed folks just get one of each most of the time, so if you start out by attacking them, you are in trouble. Even if you are a weaponsmaster, you cannot attack them twice. However, if you have at least one sword, try parrying the tail with it. If you successfully parry, and it misses it's sting attack, you have a decent chance of cutting off its stinger, especially if you have decent combat magic.

Handy Bow Ritual by Chrétien de Tiskos

"If you can strike a target with two arrows at the same time, then the two arrows have a magically compounded effect greater than the sum of the two, giving you power over, and protection from, the target". I picked up this ritual from a sailor on Lake Felster. Of course with people, they are usually dead, and this is particularly difficult anyway with a moving target. However, it works on the sea. Strike it in the same place with two arrows at the same time, and you gain protection from whatever perils the sea sends at you. The sailor assured me that it works just as well on the ocean. Personally, I doubt whether this is quite true, and my Bishop suggested that if there is any truth in the tale, then it may work where there is a sea bottom, but not out in the infinite depths of the oceans where the Closing is in effect.

Presence For Pow by Malaclypse The Mad

For the cost of 1 point of POW, you can boost your Presence significantly. Simply Tap your own INT, then Boost it back up to its original level - but remember to use Permanence when you boost it.

Playing a Cameo Character by Gribble of Whitewall

Ever fancied playing a new character for a bit, but don't want to risk leaving your old character behind in case you want to go play him later? How about making your new character a Trickster, give him enough points of Swallow to devour the other character, and agree with the referee that the old chap succeeded in Divine Intervention to save himself from the void. When your Trickster dies, out pops the old character! The Trickster will have a surprisingly large appetite, and will probably claim to be 'very close' to the other character.

Need a hand? by Zoldren the Necromancer

Sorcerors! Have you ever lost an arm, and not been able to grow it back? Simply strip the flesh of the cadaverous limb, animate the bones, and strap it on to your stump! Be careful not to let any of those demon-worshipping Humakti notice, though, because they think that only their "god" is allowed to control the dead.

Trouble with horsemen? by Odal Varmandson

Fanaticism soon sorts them out! I'm serious, it's better than Demoralise, and cheaper, too! They can't make use of their increased attack skill unless they are ridiculously good at riding, they can't parry, and have you ever seen a horseman try to dodge? They won't even run away when they are losing, either!
