     My little corner of the Web is mostly dedicated to the RuneQuest roleplaying game and the world of Glorantha.

     If you've been wondering what all that PGP crap in my email is about, I've taken to signing all my emails these days. If it matches my signature, then it's from me, and not anyone that might be using my machine, or spoofing my address, or any automatic mail generated by a macro virus, now that work has told me I have to use Office 97. There are two versions of my current key, one for v6.02i, one for older versions. It isn't the most secure key in the world, being only 768 bits long, but it's good enough for my casual-use purposes.

Sandy's Sorcery

     Generic Amendments and Additions to Sandy's sorcery.

     Rules for Meldek Sorcerors, those soulless freaks that plague Orlanthi society from within, mainly for compatibility with RQ3-generated sorcerors. Otherwise known as "Journey Sorcery".

     Sandy's Latest Sorcery used to be on Craig's web page, but he seems to have vanished without trace, so they're here now.

     I have been discussing Sandy's rules with various people.

     Nick Effingham's page has some of his own ideas on Sandy's sorcery, including descriptions of the formerly undocumented spells, and some rules for characters creating new ones!

Larry Niven

     I'm a big fan of Larry's works, especially the Known Space series (Ringworld, Protector, etc). The larryniven-l list can be searched.

     Simon came up with The Tnuctipun Plot, which I'm extremely keen on, and have elaborated upon.

Nerd

     And proud of it. I grew up with computers, work with them, and play on them at home. Read about stuff that matters.

     I am shocked by the DVD Copyright Control Association's actions in attempting to prevent the playback of DVD movies under linux. Here's my synopsys, with some handy links.

     What could be worse? Compulsory, arbitrary, and immoral censorship, that's what.

     I can't resist a good gadget. I use a SONY Vaio C1XN, Netgear 4-port hub, Ericsson MC218 (branded Psion 5mx), Kodak DC120 digital camera, Ericsson T18 mobile phone with I/R modem (which I'm sure neither modulates nor demodulates, but the name sticks), Garmin GPS315, and a Seiko Kinetic watch. Real Life

     I am a member of Bedstone Church PCC, in Shropshire, and we are thrilled to have finished refurbishing the roof and tower. Next is the interior: the wiring, heating, plastering, painting ... no rest for the wicked.

I recently created a Weblog for the family. Eventually I'll move all this content over to it.
